Find out what AI says about you
A Namecheck is a free measurement of how often AI assistants name your business when someone asks for a recommendation in your category. You get your TOP Score, the three sub-scores, and the actual answers we saw.
Tell us your website and category, and we run the recommendation prompts your buyers use across ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI, unauthenticated, then send back what came out. It takes us a few days, it costs nothing, and there's no obligation at the end of it.
What you get back
- →Your TOP Score out of 100, with the number of prompts and responses behind it, so you can see how solid the sample is.
- →Your Readable, Answerable and Trusted sub-scores, which is where the reason for the number usually lives.
- →Who else got named in your category, because that's usually the part that gets people's attention.
- →The sources those answers cited, which tells you where the work needs to happen.

What happens to your details: they go into SDM's CRM so we can send the results and follow up once. We don't sell data, we don't add you to a list without asking, and you can tell us to delete the lot at any time by replying to the email.
Common questions
Is this really free, or is it a sales call in disguise?
It's free, and yes, we'll follow up once, because we're an agency and that's the honest reason we offer it. If the answer is no thanks, that's the end of it, and you keep the score either way.
Why do you need my category and city?
Because the prompt is the measurement. "Best cleaners in Sydney" and "commercial cleaning contractors NSW" produce different answers, so we need the words your buyers would actually use rather than our guess at them.
Can I just do this myself?
You can, and you should, and the two-minute test on the home page shows you how. The difference is that one prompt on one assistant is an anecdote, where a few hundred across three assistants is a number you can compare to next quarter.
Does a Namecheck put me in the TOP 100?
No. The TOP 100 is measured independently by category, and you can't buy or request your way onto it. Being a client doesn't get you on either, though it does get you marked as a client if you appear. See the disclosure policy.
