What changed, in one paragraph
People used to google, scroll and click. Now a lot of them ask ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google's AI a question and get one answer back with a shortlist already inside it, which means the shortlist gets made before you ever know the buyer exists. If you're named in that answer you're in the running, and if you're not, there's a decent chance you're never seen at all.
Your website still matters and your SEO still matters. This sits on top of both, and unlike most of what gets sold in this space, it can actually be measured.

Signed out and private matters, because a logged-in account gives you personalised and rather flattering answers. What you want is what a stranger sees. Then look at three things together:

- 3What sources does the answer cite to justify itself?
