Which sources do AI assistants cite about strata managers in Sydney?

The gap the managers just started closing. Last collection, ChatGPT leaned on the regulator, a comparison site and Reddit, and Jamesons was the only strata manager cited at all. One day later the picture has shifted: managers' own websites now lead on ChatGPT, and on Perplexity, Strata Plus and Jamesons are linked in well over half of all answers. In a category this fluid, the sources engines trust are still being decided.

Measured 2026-09-08 · Second collection

Across 40 buying-journey prompts about strata managers that named Sydney, NSW or Australia, these are the sources each AI engine cited most in its answers. A citation is a source the engine actually linked in a response, which makes this list a map of who each engine trusts in this category right now.

Sample: 40 prompts, responses collected 2026-09-08 to 2026-09-08 (40 from ChatGPT, 40 from Perplexity, 35 from Google AI Overviews). Google AI Overviews has a lower response count because some prompts returned no AI Overview, and those are excluded from that engine's denominator. Excluded from citation counts: 22 prompts naming a specific business, per the TOP Score rules, and 70 prompts that stated no location, per the method. Percentages are the share of that engine's responses containing at least one citation of the domain. Ties: on ChatGPT, second place is shared at 11 citations by athosstrata.com.au and nsw.gov.au. On Perplexity, third place is a six-way tie at 19 citations between comparestrata.com, netstrata.com.au, nsw.gov.au, reddit.com, strataandco.com.au and stratainsight.com.au. On Google AI Overviews, third place is a three-way tie at 3 citations between facebook.com, strataplus.com.au and strataunited.com.au.

This is the second collection for this category and the first covering all three engines. ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews were each collected on 2026-09-08 and are reported on their own rows, per the method. Engines are never averaged together on this site.

What the data says

The 7 September collection had nsw.gov.au in 60% of ChatGPT answers and Jamesons as the lone manager on the list. On 8 September, Montano Strata leads ChatGPT at 37.5%, Strata Plus tops Perplexity at 67.5% and Jamesons is linked in 60% of Perplexity answers and 20% of Google AI Overviews. Reddit and comparestrata.com are still in the mix, sitting in a wide tie on Perplexity, but the story has changed from a category nobody had claimed to one being claimed quickly. For managers not yet on these lists, that is the window.

How to read this page

  • 1Citations are not mentions. This page measures which sources the engines link when they answer, not which businesses they name. Who gets named is the TOP Score, and it's measured separately.
  • 2Engines disagree, so we never pool them. Each engine is reported on its own row because an average hides a total absence on the engine your buyers actually use.
  • 3This is a measurement with a date on it. Models and retrieval change; a source moving between collections has not necessarily done anything. The method, cadence and limits are on the standard page.
  • 4Ties are shown alphabetically and single-page sources are named. Where sources tie on citations, the table orders them alphabetically and the tie is stated under it. A domain's count can rest on a single page, often a "best of" listicle, and that concentration is itself part of what this site measures, so where it's true of a listed source we say so. Domains are counted by exact hostname, so government subdomains count separately.
